Meet Cleo – 8 month old Flat coated Sheltie (Shetland Sheepdog Mix)
Cleopatra (we call her “Cleo”) was brought into our rescue group along with 3 of her litter mates at the age of 4 months old. They were terrified, as they were taken away from their mom at an early age and left at the shelter in TN until our Rescue group (Reach Out Rescue & Resources – RORR) came along and transported all the puppies to Maryland.
They were all placed in various foster homes.

The foster mom for Cleo describes her as developing into a more confident sweet little girl. She currently weighs 23lbs and is likely to max out at around 35-lbs.
She just LOVES LOVES LOVES other dogs.
Cleo is now 9 months old. She is crate trained, and she walks nicely on a leash. She takes time to warm up to new people and will give off a little bark but is NOT at all an aggressive dog.
She is sweet, and will settle very well. Once she learns to trust that you will keep her safe, she will be the best companion.
She sleeps all through the night, and can be left home alone easily without any issues in her crate.
- Secure fenced yard
- A young playful dog to hang out and play with.
- NO young children as they frighten her – although I think over time she would and could grow to feel safe and love them.
- She is up to date on all vaccinations and is spayed.
- I DO NOT know how she will be around cats, so I recommend a home without cats.
